Taking a break today I decided to look over some older photos and ran across a good one had not posted in a long time if ever. The Model was 2 months pregnant, she had to work as an EMT that morning before driving for 2 hours from Nashville for an afternoon shoot on a Hot and muggy September afternoon. We had never met before. I had just got the camera a few weeks earlier and not only was this my first solo model shoot in several months it was only my second shoot with a DSLR that was completely different from any camera I had ever used before. We spent almost 3 hours shooting until the sun started going down and walked away with some great shots including the one I still use today on my business card. Hard to believe was 6 years when we first met online and set up that shoot.
As much as I LOVE Christmas the Fourth of July has Always been my absolute Favorite holiday. Partially it may be because school never got in the way, it meant my birthday was just over a week away, but whatever the reason it has always been top of the list. Since I got to taking photography seriously there has been an added reason to love it. The challenge of getting some great fireworks photos. Dublin Park near my home in Madison, Alabama has a real good show each year and I have to admit shooting something only once a year getting as many good to GREAT shots in about 20 minutes is a challenge, but I have been happy with the amount of improvement in my shots each year.
